#RumoreBianco was created to make visible what too often remains unseen. Violence against women is addressed not through shock, but through absence, silence and the apparent normality that allows abuse to exist unnoticed.
The project explores different forms of violence — physical, psychological, sexual, economic and social — as part of a widespread and interconnected reality. Each scene is designed to raise awareness, give voice to those who struggle to be heard, and confront the collective tendency to ignore or justify abuse. #RumoreBianco seeks responsibility, not spectacle.
The film adopts a restrained and controlled directorial approach, conveying emotional tension without explicit representation. Familiar, everyday environments are used to underline how violence can exist within ordinary life.
Sound design, pacing and imagery work together to guide the viewer through a silent escalation, where “white noise” becomes a metaphor for social indifference. Cinematography, editing and original soundtrack support a clear, accessible narrative, conceived to be widely shared and capable of generating real awareness and action.
