Vision & Intent

Rumore unfolds over a single night, in an enclosed space with no escape.
A young man becomes aware of a strange noise—undefined, impossible to locate. It fades, returns, grows. What begins as a disturbance slowly turns into something tangible, almost alive, pressing into the space around him.
The story deliberately avoids clarity. It refuses explanation, leaving perception, fear, and reality blurred. Inspired by a true event, the film is less about what happened and more about what is felt.

Narrative & Execution

The film is built through subtraction. Dialogue is minimal, imagery controlled, time stretched.
Sound design acts as the true narrative engine, evolving from a subtle background element into an oppressive force. Domestic space becomes a psychological trap, where framing, rhythm, and audio work together to sustain unease.
Rumore is a sensory short film that embraces ambiguity, allowing tension to linger well beyond its final frame.
